Discover Contact Improv

We will explore ways to move and dance with others, engaging in a non-verbal conversation that combines your dance with that of others. Through deep listening and responding to the impulses and cues of movement in the present moment, a dance dialogue emerges.

We will work with foundational contact improv skills, such as sharing weight, gravity, and momentum, in contact and communication with others, to open new movement pathways.

All levels are welcome, and no prior experience is needed.

Olivia has journeyed through a variety of healing modalities and movement forms, weaving together an amalgamation of practices into her work. Movement has always been integral to her life. She is a Movement Medicine® teacher and has practiced Contact Improvisation for the past five years. For Olivia, moving with others through play, dance, and improvisation has unlocked profound connections and a sense of belonging while fostering safety and connection within her own body and dance. This practice has the unique potential to connect humans, inviting play, exploration, and self-inquiry in a way that no other practice does. Olivia is passionate about sharing this form.
