About the event
Most of us carry invisible instructions into any creative act: make it right, make it good, make it look like you knew what you were doing. Empty Hand is a four-hour workshop designed to interrupt that pattern. Working with ink and charcoal at The Space Between, you will move through a guided sequence of exercises that progressively release control - drawing blind, working with wet ink, responding to music, and deliberately ruining something you love. No art experience needed, only a willingness to let go.
About the Facilitator
Kevin Leathem holds a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Rhodes University. He worked in London’s museum and gallery industry, serving both the late Queen and the King, and exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts. He now works from Plettenberg Bay as an artist, art restorer, and teacher.
